What is a vector scalable file?

Vector files are files that you can resize and scale and even change colors or fonts without loosing a quality or resolution of your image. Vector graphics are created in programs such as: Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Freehand, and Corel Draw and are mostly used by professional designers or print shops. Professional logos usually originate as a vector file from which all other file formats can then be created.

Important Note: A professional logo always originates as a scalable vector file from which all other file formats can then be created. It is the preferred format a printer uses to print your logo in a large size such as on a vehicle, billboard or banner. It is imperative that you retain your vector files as you will undoubtably need them for future large scale use of your logo.
